The Buddha

Many of the Buddha’s most popular teachings are gathered in an ancient text known as The Dhammapada. The teachings are organized in quatrains under sections organized by subject matters. Each quatrain is given a number in sequence. Here is what the Buddha had to say about “the fool.”

If, while on your way, / You meet no one your equal or better, / Steadily continue on your way alone. / There is no fellowship with fools (61).

So there you have it. We do this alone, surviving this administration by listening to our own inner voices, and doing what we know is correct, not what we are told through a megaphone is correct. It’s good work if you choose to do it.
